The Covenant of Eternal Life
His book burned by a common hangman before witnesses, prisoner John Asgill, (1659-1738) is condemned, ruined & his membership in two House of Commons vacated. His contention: “That according to the Covenant of Eternal Life revealed in the Scriptures, Man may be Translated from hence into that Eternal Life, without passing through Death, altho the Human Nature of CHRIST himself could not be translated till he had passed through Death.” Printed in 1700. John Asgill was the first to write about the subject. Hundreds of years later more information was discovered in revelation. A good starting point in support of Asgill is a paper titled “The Spheres of Light and Life” and various searches for “Adjuster Fusion” found in another title at this site: “The Urantia Papers”. Basically, when confirmed that a human thinks like the indwelling spirit of God, fusion takes place instantly without the experience of physical death, as to what had happened to Enoch, the first to Translate to immortal spirit existence.
“That God cannot change, is not a deficiency in his nature, but the perfection of his essence, which can be nothing but himself. For as it is the happiness of imperfect beings to be capable of change, in order to be made better; so it is the happiness of perfect beings to be incapable of change, whereby to be made worse.”
